The ScreamThe Scream  Ref: COM004

33cm (13") high

This is a 3D pewter version of 'The Scream" an expressionist painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. The Scream painted in 1893 is said by some to symbolize the human species taken by an attack of existential angst, with the skyline inspired by the red twilights seen after the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa. The landscape in the background is Oslofjord, viewed from the hill of Ekeberg.

Dali's Clock Ref: COM003

Wall Art

30cm (12")

This is a 3D pewter version of a Dali Clock inspired by Salvador Dali's famous 1931 painting "The Persistence of Memory". Dalí rendered his fantastic visions with meticulous verisimilitude, giving the representations of dreams a tangible and credible appearance. In what he called "hand painted dream photographs," hard objects become inexplicably limp, time bends, and metal attracts ants like rotting flesh. The monstrous creature draped across the painting's center resembles the artist's own face in profile; its long eyelashes seem insectlike or even sexual, as does what may or may not be a tongue oozing from its nose like a fat snail.
