Freddie Mercury Statue
The Freddie Mercury statue on Lake Geneva was sculpted by Czech artist Irena Sedlecka. Irena was a Laureate of the state in the early 50's and now lives in London. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, and a member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors. The statue, standing 3 meters high, is situated in Montreaux Switzerland overlooking lake Geneva, and was unveiled on November 25th 1996 by Montserat Caballe. This is a magnificent and lasting tribute to a man who will always have a place in the memory of countless millions across the globe.
